Unicom
China Unicom Ltd (Unicom) is the second largest telecom operator in China and the only one licensed to offer all telecommunications services. It provides the only significant fixed-line and mobile competition to incumbents China Telecom and China Mobile respectively. It provides nation wide local, domestic and international telephony, IP telephony, data, Internet, GSM and CDMA mobile and paging. It has the nations second largest fibre optic network, metropolitan fibre-to-the-building access, the largest IP telephony network in the world and the nations largest paging network. Its revenue derives mainly from GSM mobile services. It is majority owned by state-owned Unicom Group.
