Scania
Scania is one of the world’s largest heavy-truck and bus manufacturers, hauling in sales from more than 100 countries. The company focuses on trucks with gross weights of 16 tons or greater. Scania also makes buses for public transit and tourism, builds industrial and marine engines, and offers maintenance and financing services. It delivers more than 50,000 new trucks and 5,500 buses per year. Volkswagen controls 34% of Scania after buying shares from Sweden’s Investor AB, an investment vehicle of Sweden’s Wallenberg family. Investor AB still controls more than 19% of the company. Volvo has divested its stake in the company.
