Pepco Holdings
Pepco Holdings distributes electricity to more than 1.8 million customers and natural gas to nearly 120,000 customers through its utility subsidiaries. Deregulation has taken effect in the region, and the utilities have sold most of their regulated power plants. Nonregulated operations include independent power production (more than 5,000 MW of generating capacity), wholesale and retail energy marketing, and energy management services. The company also has international energy interests.
