China Netcom
China Netcom (Group), or CNC China, the second largest facilities-based broadband telecommunication operator in China. As the primary operating subsidiary of China Netcom Group, CNC China provides broadband Internet access and telecom services to residential and corporate customers. It also holds licenses to operate international gateways outside of China. CNC China was founded in 1999 by four entities of the Chinese government as part of the breakup of China Telecom Group. A consortium of international investors, including News Corp., Bank of China, China Construction Bank, and Goldman Sachs acquired a minority stake in CHC China in 2001.
