The aptitude section is very easy
1.aptitude(30 minutes,30 questions)

there would be five options,out of which one word would
belong to the same categorie as the remaining
words.
*logical reasoning(like GRE,but easy)

1.what would be the next figure in the sequence
*quantitative aptitude

a’s concentration is 10%,b’s 20%,c’s 30%.the liquids are
mixed in the ratio 1:2:3.the resultant concentration of the
mixture is 23%.find each’s concentration.
(I am not sure about the numbers)
*time and distance
in a 100m race ‘a’ is ahead of ‘b’ by 10feets.if the speed
of b is increased by 3m/s she is ahead of ‘a’ by 10feets in 120m
race.find the speed of ‘a’.
*age(easy)
*data interpretation

When writing the aptitude test u must plan the time ЕЕ.I donТt remember the written
test questionsЕ.completing 30 aptitude ques in 30 minutes is impossible so try to as

if u have cleared the written, interview is cool if ur cool. questions were asked based on the resume and the essay they make u write before the gd.
pretending might do no good in the interview. these guys are smarter than ur grandmother.
the guy asked me if he could ask questions in os.i said no.data structures. i said no. networks. i said no.
finally we agreed on c.so he asked me to write a doubly linked list program and find factorial through recursion! which i did. and got selected.

The right attitude: if some one else is going to be selected, then they are better than you. so only justice is being done.
so attened the interview as if you have nothing to loose.

i am a student os asansol engg. college, w.b of i.t discipline.

the 30mins aptitude and C was pretty easy but enter the interview part and the grilling starts. i was interviewed for about 40 mins and believe me those goodfellas took 2000joules of energy from me. they just won’t let me complete any answers to their questions ! there was no separate hr for us.
but the most amusing part was the essay writing where i was told to write about ‘any damn topic’. and i wrote about the ‘terminator trilogy’! i would like to know other future caritorians, so mail me at sayan52@rediffmail.com.

got selected to caritor a few days back.i was very impressed with their professionalism.
here a few tips that could be of use to u
for the aptitude test’s quants(30 qs in 30 min)concentrate on time n work,distance,alligation-mixture,ratio,
simplification. use agarwal.choice b/w c or c++.30 qs in 30 min. brush up on pointers and structures.attempt only the qs u think u know. time is very short.

for the gd be cool. watch if anyone else in the group is going off track(happens 99% of the time).stop them firmly but politely.knowledge matters less.what matters is how well u put forth ur points.

for the tech interview go thru a few basic prog like palindrome,fibonacci srs etc. moderately difficult puzzles will be asked. once u get thru this the hr should be quite easy .hobbies background etc

at no point act deperate for the job
the keyword is cool

They had 4 rounds.
1. Aptitude : if they have conducted a test recently in ur region then get the papers they repeat the paper without changes. - two sections - apti & c

2. gd
3.tech interview- they may ask u to give a small presentation here.
4. hr - was a stress interview for us.

no bond & pay package is 1.98pa

BEWARE : never tell them that caritor is ur dream company and u’ve skipped other company tests for this. they will REJECT you for sure. just tell them some lame reasons. many people i know got chucked out for the same reason. they wud rather prefer other company rejects than people sitting out for caritor. weirdo logic!!!

I am from M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology Bangalore. Better known as MSRIT.

I got through the campus recruitment conducted by CARITOR in Aug’04. My date of joining is Aug 1 2005 at Bangalore.

About the process..

Well, we had an online test. It comprised of two sections. i) Aptitude ii) Technical.

We could take them in any order.

In technical we had a choice:
a) C
b) C++

I chose C. There were 30 questions on C. Most of them were from ‘Test Your C Skills’ by Yashwant Kanetkar. The difficulty ranged from Mediocre to Tough.

The aptitude test was in the same range of difficulty.

After that we had to go through a GD. First they asked us to introduce ourselves. This is very important. You have to be confident about what you say here. And try to avoid the details of what is already present in your Resume. The topic given then was ‘Code First or Comment First’. It was a very interesting but rather unusual topic. Well, but it went really well for me. No issues there.

Then was the Written-Skills assessment. The topic was to write about Your Experiences. You could interpret it in any number of ways. I wrote about the experiences in my life.

Then came the Technical interview round. The questions asked covered a variety of topics such as C, C++, Data Structures, Fundamentals of OS, a bit of Unix and DBMS. In the same round a few ‘HR’ kind of questions were also asked.

And then i got the good news. The interview was a very pleasant experience. The officials of CARITOR were very friendly and not at all intimidating.

My advice to anyone who wishes to get into CARITOR is to concentrate very hard on your COMMUNICATION SKILLS. How you speak and what you write is very crucial. Along with sound technical knowledge, EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION skills are a MUST.

first was general aptitude and puzzles for 45 mins
for it branches like cs is and all there will be a c/c++ test also
next gd our topic was suggest some ideas for improving the education system in india
essay writing the topic was “where would u like to se yourself two years from now”
finally the technical round
no hr round was there for us seperately i think they judged our hr skills during hr round and our initial introduction

the selection process was very fast they winded
up everything very soon and i think they expect
us to be very fast and efficient like them
hoping to join caritor by next year so see u there bye

Guys, Caritor is a very good company specializing mainly in maintainance and mmigration. But there are pure development in Java and J2ee also. Work satisfaction is good and onsite opportunities are plenty. Growth in terms of position is very fast. But the downside:: Pay Hike happens only if there is growth in position.

first of all there was 1 hr test in wch 30mins include apti+puzzle(aggarwal+our shakuntla) remainin c/c++(yashwant kanitkar).watch out ur time carefully.

They asked for students wid no back in subjects & all subjects must b cleared in first attempts & 65% aggre(development field).In off campus(for non IT branches) if they call for testing field then they use to ask 60%.

Then immediately after short listin they took us for GD & asked us to write abt “y do u wnt 2 join caritor ?”in 200 words widin 5 mins then they asked 2 tell abt our family background & ne of our achievements(HR round not too serious).Then my GD topic was, should ganguly should b an caiptain or dravid .Then abt 20 to 25 mins technical interview(they asked basic electronics,vhdl,8085,8086,telecommn switchin). COMMUNICATION SKILL IS VERY IMPORTANT.

Question paper pattern:

Total time was 60min. Two different question papers
will be given and one white paper to work out the
answers.
The answering sheet is of multiple choice type where
we’ve to put a “X” mark on correct choice.College ID
was
a must and those who forgot bring theirs were
mercilessly sent out, inspite of having other proof
like marks card
along with drivers license etc.,

NO -ve marks. Paper-2 was given about 15 min. after we
started answering paper-1. We can switch between
papers.

Paper-1:
Quantitative aptitude: 30 questions.All simple stuff
direct from R. S. Aggarwal
Questions were on ratio and proportions, family
relationship, bankers discount, areas and
volumes,pipes and cisterns, complete the number
series.

Paper-2:
Logical reasoning: 15 questions. Few questions on data
sufficiency, ref. the verbal and non-verbal reasoning
by
R. S. Aggarwal. and remaining on assertion and
reasoning type.

I got some 20 correct in paper-1 and some 5-7 correct
in paper-2. I was called for the GD that afternoon
itself.
Some 30 odd were shortlisted for GD. The topic of GD
was hardwork and sincerity.A group was 8-9 people was
made
and were allowed to talk while others had to wait in
other room.I said hardwork and sincerity go
hand-in-hand and both are important, while some
argued that hardwork alone or sincerity alone is
sufficient. In GD the most
silent people were selected!!!!!!!!. I was then
shortlisted for interview the next day in Bangalore in
Caritor office.

the panel had the HR lady and a techie guy.
The guy asked me why I wanted to shift to IT while I
am a Mech., grad.
>> I said growth potential, money, air-conditioned
office……..

The guy then asked questions regarding microprocessor
and other electronics stuff.
>> I said I am a mech., guy I don’t know Microproc.
You can ask C prog., or any question based on mech.

The guy kept on asking stuff from electronics and
other hardcore comp sc. stuff.
>> I gave up. I answered all questions with a big “I
DON’T KNOW”. Walked out.

By looking at their faces and their attitude I could
make out that they didn’t want to hire guys from
non-IT branch. The interview and all was just an
eye-wash.So, non-IT guys consider this seriously
before attending Caritor test.

BEFORE YOU FINISH THE ENTIRE TEST!
1. Aptitude (GRE pattern — verbal + maths)
30 Questions in 30 mts — you’ll have to be really fast!
Verbal was manageable it seems and for maths, pl. refer RS Aggarwal.
Key areas in maths — Permutation-Combination; Trigonometry
Get the questions from ur friends in the previous batches…these tend to repeat.

2. Technical Section: (C or C++)
30 Questions in 30 mts.
key areas in C –> POINTERS, Looping & general input-output
sample quesion: for (i=1; i=3; i++) { get executed ? Ans: JUST ONCE (i.e. when i =

C++ key areas –> OOPS concepts in and out
Constructors-destructors; dynamic binding; polymorphism; inheritance etc.

Suggestion: If u’re strong enuf in pointers, u might consider C; else if u’re
confident b’t ALL
the OOPS concepts, u’d want C++.

Get the questions from ur friends in the previous batches…these tend to repeat.

2. Technical Section: (C or C++)
30 Questions in 30 mts.
key areas in C –> POINTERS, Looping, general input-output fns and dynamic memory

C++ key areas –> OOPS concepts in and out

Suggestion: If u’re strong enuf in pointers, u might consider C; else if u’re

There’d be a GD session after the test results are out. The test results in SRM are

I got selected in
caritor. 200+ students cleared written test. The test contains 60
q’s (30- C ; 30-Apti & english). C is very easy as in “Let US C -
yeswant kanitkar” book. apti also not too tough. But u need time
management. Test duration is only 60 minutes. I suggest first to do C
within 15 to 20 minutes and spent time on apti.

In GD 12 candidates are one panel and my GD topic
was “Whether death penalty in our law is correct or not”. we
discussed around 30 minutes. In G.D.

1, Introduce yourself (hobbies,family background)
2, topic will be given
3, one minute time to gather points yourself
4, G.D. starts
5, Four to five members had been asked to summarize the discussion(Me
also finally)

peoples who have not spoken first asked to summarize. ifthey not do
then they ask others to summarize to finish the g.d.
They considered:
points, good observer, self introduction and summarization-
conclusion.

more or less 100 got selected through g.d. in my panel four of us
selected. one topic was given and we wrote a page lenth story about
ourcollege. It had been pined with my c.v. which sent to interview.

In interview they asked me to guess my written test marks. and told
that i got less marks in apti. so they asked me puzzeles and some
technical q’s.

He wrote two tables with values and asked me to derive ans for all
set operations and gave time.
then he asked two puzzeles I solved one.

It was tough, since this was the most filtration round than others.
A survival level English is enough…. Dont shout at any instance… What u speak s
not considered; How u speak s important here.
Each group consisted 12 candidates.
We were told 2 select our own topic.
We selected “Is it acceptable the new rules of anna univ. on uniforms & cell phone
use”.
The GD organiser told not to quarrel in beginning itself.
It went on nearly 15 min. & finally one summarised….
Only 2 were selected from my group including me, since v both maintained a calm
approach while speaking…. while Most of others were not accepting other’s points &
shouted on even in the time of summarising….

3.Passage Writing

It was not an elimination round. But they just check ur written communication. A
good english without grammatical mistake s enough…..
V have given a paper & given the topic “Why u like ur college & how it helped in
improving ur personality” & 10 min time.
V all written more than 1 page…
While collecting the papers, the caritor people smiled & said… “We asked just a
passage not an essay”.
4. Tech Interview

& 4L.
Ans: First fetch 5l & pour into 4l can, 1l will remain in 5l can. then transform
this 1l to 4l can. Again fetch 5l & pour to 4l can which already has 1l of milk. so 2l
will remain in 5l can.

Question on How many order of combinations possible if 3 companies have to conduct
interview t one college……
Ans: 3! = 6

Some other puzzles asked 4 others were….
Making 120 using 5 zeros..
Ans: (0!+0!+0!+0!+0!)! = (5)!=120
Making 120 using 4 zeros..

3 switches are at 1st floor, their corresponding 3 bulbes r at 2nd floor, U have
go each floor one time each & have 2 find which switch corresponds 2 which bulb….?
Ans: switch on one switch 4 some minutes & switch it off, then switch on another
switch, immediately go to 2nd floor, there 1 bulb will be lightning that corresponds 2
the switch which is “on” now ie the second switch. Among other 2 one will b
hotter(since we switched on for some minuts), it corresponds to the 1st switch, and other
one 2 the remaining switch…..

Making 100 from four nines.

Connecting 3 X 3 points by 4 lines, the sum avail in sakundala devi…
I was not asked 4 C programs….
Amnong other candidates, Somebody were asked to write small programs… for somebody

5. HR Interview

It was little tough 4 me….. But most of other candidates it was quit easy…
There were 2 gentle men & 1 lady…
Only 1 guy asked questions.. others were just watching…
I realised afterwards.. that the guy asked questions was the Chief HR….

i am an ece student and i attended caritor campus interview 2 days ago. they had changed the entire question paper model for apti. 45 questions quantitative in 60 mins. no questions from c or c++. i cleared aptitude and also the passage writing and group discussion. in passage writing , my topic was “if i had not been an engineer, i would have become ——-” . we have to complete the sentence and write passage for it.

in gd, we were allowed to choose the topic. we chose ” is reservation for backward classes necessary or not??”

i was selected for technical interview. i was interviewed for more than one hour and none other than me underwent the interview for such a long time. mine was a stress interview. i answered all questions except one question. that question also i explained the concept. 2 people shot questions at me alternatively. but i kept a smile throughout the interview not showing my tension out. i was asked to explain all the papers i did ( i did 4 papers), i explained for a total of nearly 25- 30 mins about my papers alone.i drew all the architecture diagrams, circuits of my papers and explained them. i was also asked questions in c , c++, data structures, mu.p, lic (apart from my fields of interest also ). i answered all of them satisfactorily.

i was even asked to draw caritor’s logo. i drew it exactly. they appreciated me on my grasping power and good communication skills.

but, i was not selected for the next stage, that is hr interview. i don’t know the reason why they rejected me.

but i am happy that i didn’t get selected in a company which doesn’t appreciate true talent and sound technical knowledge. caritor is missing me and is doesn’t deserve me.

also, salary is very less friends.. in the power point presentation in our campus, the company showed that the basic pay is only Rs.84,000 per annum during the training period. i.e only 7,000 rs. per month. then for a period of one yr, it will only increase to rs.8,000 . after 2 yrs also, basic pay will increase to only 13,500. very very less salary for freshers.better try some good company.

for those friends who r extremely good in technical, my advice is “don’t choose caritor, try a good company as they don’t give any scope for higher studies or job security after higher studies”. they don’t even sponsor for the certifications which is actually good for us (like java certification, etc , etc.). many other good companies give us good offers. they also strictly said in the presentation that “if u have any ideas of higher studies, complete it & then apply for caritor”.

the negative comments should also be given equal importance.. coz’ the students will get to know what actually is happening “in the name of” interview at caritor.

the basic salary is 7000 but combined with hra cca v get 15k for first 3mnths n 4th mnth it will be 20k.after that it will be very much performance based n in a yr n a half it will be close to 35k(provided v perform well)which is gud enuf…
true there is very less support for higher studies in CARITOR.they claim to provide ya wid all the necessary skill sets in the workin env itself….
another adv in CARITOR is very easy to go ON-SITE.
n as for ya tech girl there is somethin better in store for ya for the amt of technical knowledge u claim to possess…

3 DAYS BACK…I MEAN ON APRIL 7TH..I HAD CAMPUS INTERVIEW FOR ACCENTURE COMPANY…..THE WRITTEN TEST WAS ALSO V EASY…AND I HAD PREPARED V WELL FOR THAT…BUT I COULDNT PASS THE 1ST ROUND ALSO……….I WAS VERY UPSET….BUT DAD AND SOME OF MY FRIENDS HELPED ME TO COME OUT OF THAT MOOD……..BUT STILL I COULDNT PREPARE FOR THE CARITOR COMPANY’S TESTS WHICH WAS ON 10TH……..AND ON 10TH, I WAS NOT AT ALL READY TO ATTEND THE TEST….BUT ONE OF MY FRIEND TOLD TO TRY MY LUCK…….AND I WENT TO COLLEGE WITH NO HOPES……………..

FROM 10-11…WE HAD APTITUDE TEST…169 MEMBERS WERE ELIGIBLE TO TAKE THE TEST……45 QUESTIONS HAD TO BE ANSWERED….I THINK I GOT SOME 34 CORRECT…AND OTHERS I JUST MARKED BASED ON GUESS….(SINCE THERE WAS NO NEGATIVE MARKING)..

THEY MADE 6 GROUPS EACH OF SIZE 11….I WAS IN GROUP NUM 2…WE HAD WRITTEN COMPREHENSION….ie THEY ASKED US TO WRITE ABOUT “EXPERIANCES IN S.S.I.T(my college)WHICH HAVE HELPED TO GET A PLACEMENT”…..I WROTE ABOUT OUR DIGITAL LIBRARY…ETC ETC…..

ALL THE STUDENTS WHO FINISHED THEIR TECHNICAL ROUND WERE MADE TO SIT IN SEPARATE ROOM…(coz they thought we would leak questions to others)…NOW..I WAS BIT RELIEVED…AND SWITCHED ON MY CELL…( actually i switched off the cell when i was selected in written test itself…i even didnt call my mother in b/w these rounds…coz i had no hopes that i would proceed further…now after completing technical i called my mom and said about everything happened…it was already 6:30 in the evening….and i was v hungry,,,coz i didnt had my lunch …not even a single drop of water also……..and they didnt allowed to go out also….)WE NEED TO WAIT FOR THE RESULTS OF TECHNICAL ROUND BEFORE HR ROUND ,WHICH WAS THE LAST ROUND……IN GROUP DISCUSSION 45 WERE SELECTED…SO …WE OUGHT TO WAIT FOR THE COMPLETION OF TECHNICAL ROUND FOR ALL OF THEM….AROUND 9:00 TECHNICAL ROUND WAS OVER…..

AND FOR THE HR ROUND,ONE PERSON CAME AND CALLED OUT NAMES…HE CALLED VINAY,ME AND NISHANTH….VINAY WENT TO ATTEND HR ROUND…..NISHANTH AND ME WERE MADE TO WAIT………AFTER SOMETIME , I SAW VINAY COMING OUT OF THE ROOM V SADLY…( AFTERWARDS WE CAME TO KNOW THAT HR REJECTED HIM…BCOZ…HE HAD OBSERVED VINAY IN THE MORNING A BIT MISBEHAVING…….)……….AND NOW IT WAS MY CHANCE…..I PRAYED GOD…AND ENTERED THE ROOM…I WISHED HR…AND TOOK MY SEAT….SIR WENT THROUGH MY RESUME…AND ASKED ABOUT MY PARENTS AND MY SISTER….I TOLD THEIR NAMES…AND OCCUPATION….WHEN I TOLD THAT MY DAD IS A VETERNARY ASSISTANT DIRECTOR …HR ASKED ME WHETHER I LOVE DOGS AND CATS…I SAID ‘YES’( the questions like this may sound silly…but they judge us…by the answeres we give and our approach…communication skills etc)
he went through my answer sheet of aptitude test and asked about swami vivekanada….the works of him….his sayings etc….he asked me about the toughest decision i had ever taken in my life…..and i answered him…he asked me whether i willleave the company after 2 years if i get married ….i said ‘NO’…and he asked me whether i am ready to relocate….i said if it is really required i will surely relocate…..and finally he asked me…what is my motto….either money…or going abroad….i told him that….as a fresher i want to learn lots of things…so..i would pay more concentration about learning things…and i told i would look for job satisfaction……after seeing my percentage..he asked me whether i was the topper of previous semesters……i told ‘yes’ and i told him that i shared it with ankith twice………..
FINALLY…HE SAID THAT U R SELECTED…AND HE TOLD HE WOULD OFFER ME A JOB IN CARITOR…AND ALSO SAID HE WILL SEND THE OFFER LETTER V SOON……..I WAS LIKE…I COULDNT BELIEVE THAT….I FELT V V V HAPPY……I THANKED HIM….AND LEFT THE ROOM…….I WAS LIKE JUMPIMG ..IN THE ROOM……AFTER THAT I WISHED NISHANTH…..AND I WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO GET SELECTED FOR THE COMPANY THAT DAY….AND MY SENIOR TOLD ME TO WAIT IN ANOTHER ROOM..TO GET CONFIRMED ABOUT THE SELECTION……..AFTER THAT I CALLED EACH ND EVERYBODY…MY MOM,DAD,MY COUSINS,MY FRNDS….AND TOLD THEM THAT I WAS SELECTED……..EVERYBODY WAS V HAPPY…………..AFTER FEW MINUTES…ONE BY ONE…THOSE WH GOT SELECTED STARTED GATHERING IN THE ROOM…EVERYBODY WAS SO EXCITED…THIS IS OUR FIRST JOB OFFER..AND OBVIOUSLY EACH AND EVERBODY WAS V HAPPY…….ATLAST AROUND 11:30 ,THEY CAME AND CONFIRMED OUR SELECTION….AND WE WERE ALLOWED TO GO HOME…..I ALMOST HAD FORGOTTEN MY HUNGER…NOT ONLY HUNGER…REST OF THE THINGS IN THE WORLD ALSO….I CALLED MY DAD…AND HE PICKED ME………..

SO,ATLAST….APRIL 10TH BECAME A V SPECIAL DAY IN MY LIFE………………….EVEN NOW…I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I AM PLACED IN SUCH A GOOD COMPANY………..EVERYTHING IS LIKE A DREAM……….FINALLY,29 MEMBERS WERE SELECTED FOR CARITOR…….10 MEMBERS FM MY OWN BRANCH COMPUTER SCIENCE…………………..

*name some data structures
*difference b/w array and linked list
*define stack
*stack operations….ie pushing and poping with progrm…(mention about stack overflow and underflow)
*define queue
*implementation of queue using linked list..
*wat is linked list?
*to write a pgm to insert a node at front end,rear end…and at a given position..
*joins in sql…to explain joins taking an example…self join,equi join,outer join etc
*wat is a structure?
wat is a union?
*difference b/w structures and unions
*static allocation and dynamic allocation
and he asked me meanings of some english words..like abate..etc etc….

**once u clear aptitute test and gd….and if u r good at basics of all the subjects….then no need to worry about technical round….
** in gd, make sure that u speak something relevant to topic…even if u give 2-3 strong points…u hav a chance to get selected in gd…listening is v important…listen to others while they r speaking…coz they may ask u to summarize the whole session…dont just go on argueing ….it becomes a debate…we r there to express our views..not to fight with others……maintain a good eye contact with other members of the group….
**in aptitude, for us the questions were a bit tough…..i answered them in 3 rounds…in 1st round..i answered those questions,whose answers were almost straight…for ex: angle b/w the hands of the clock when it is 8:30…
and the questions regarding series…like 6 36 7 49 8 _………..
and some logical reasoning questions….
In 2nd round….i took such questions which could be solved in 3-4 steps…………….
In 3rd round i tried the remaining questions….which were really tough…which require some calculations etc…
Finally,there was no negative markings…so,i marked some answers based on guess………
**plzz follow the above technique,it will be v useful…if the 1st 12-15 questions are tough…and u go on trying them and wasting time…and if the last questions are v easy and if time period elapses…u will be a gr8 loser….
**refer R.S. agarwal’s book for aptitude test and also the verbal and non-verbal reasoning book of the same author….it would be more than enough
**for C…asusual…yashwanth kanetkar’s series…let us c,exploring c,test ur c skills,data structures …etc

hi i got selected today may19,1006 at caritor held in our amal jyothi engg college kerala.I am studying in amal jyothi in electricals.SO i was listed as a non it candidate.Iwas placed there as told by therm as a software tester.
I had a aptitude test containing 45 qns for 1hr.it was quite easy like the sual ones but there was no technical qns.i passed that round and i was asked to write an essay on “How my life in college will help me to build a career in it industry”.Soon i was send for gd with 9 members.The topic was”should vips visit disaster areas”. The debate was grt and soon they choose me.Then was my technical interview but they didnt ask me any qns based on any languages.Instead they gave me a qn i.e to write test condition for testing a bicycle.They had done this beacause they considered me as a non it student. iwrote abt 25 pts and then he asked me a puzzle.Soon i passed that round and now i was send for the hr interview.There i was interviewed by the gm of that company.he asked me to introduce myself. then he as ked me had i heard abt this co. earlier. he asked me why did i choose to come here instead of any electrical firms.he then asked me abt my family .soon i anwered many of his qns confidently. and i was placed into there company. much excited abt it if anyone wud like to comment or hav any queries my emal id is shijpi@gmail.com

ROUND 1- Aptitude
RS Agrawal,Barron’s GRE.
For CBSE n ICSE students its easier as compared to Karnataka Board.

ROUND 2-Essay
Write only what you know is rational & logical.
Prepare this ” How has your college education helped in buiding your carrer?”

Also you will be asked to write about your idol.Write about your Dad or Mom…or if u wanna write about some great personality then “DO” have a pretty knowledge about his life & his work. You will be asked in interview.

ROUND 3-GD
Have a good knowledge of current affairs.Give a ggod start.
When you are told of your group no.then atleast know each others names & decide there that who will start in your GD & who will conclude. Remember this “UNITED WE STAND,DIVIDED WE FALL”

ROUND 4-TECHNICAL INTERVIEW
Except for Mechanical,other students prepare your subjects well.For Mechanical students,they ask more of PUZZLES,PROJECT(if done any).Do not try to fool the interviewer.If you do not know the answer then say “I DO NOT KNOW,SIR”.

ROUND 5-H.R.
If you cleared 4 rounds you are almost in. But still in HR, they will eliminate you if ever you lie at any stage.So tell exactly what you are.DO NOT MENTION OF HIGHER STUDIES.

i took my interview in caritor and really it was not so difficult .i’m one of those guys who sit in last bench make pranks , but when its time to submit the best give it all
our apptitude was easy
next 13 got selected,HR made another 27 to be selected
we went through our group discussion , all the first 13 were selected and others mostly filtered out
essay only to see ur writing skills
HR round was good he asked about me doing cobal as it is old language while others will do java?what will u do?
i said it is being used cause it has its own applications
c++ program or pointers getting alternate alphabets
have some knowledge of 8085 8086 micropro..
I have been selected for year 2007 batch
LAST WORD IN HR BE AS FEARLESS AS POSSIBLE .. DONT BE BOLD BE FEARLESS OTHERWISE COULD CAUSE U THE JOB

because of this i m in caritor .they asked questions from various subject like 8085,8086,c,c++,dsp,op amp,signal and system,my project )
HR:
it was the easiest one ,they askd about my family background and about higher studies.
so my suggestion For cracking caritor campus interview is if u clear the aptitude,be cool for others round.

The test held on 27-07-2006 at P.E.S college of Engg. Mandya(Karnataka, INDIA), was really very tough.
There was 45 questions(60 mins) (full of quantitative-some are very difficult to solve). I placed to caritor with luck. Luck played a very important role. I simply ticked more than 20 questions.

get thru with the 1st n 2nd round n the rest will be dependent on your confidence n calmness….
1) the aptitude round was very tough compared to other company papers… but no worries… good analytical skills n some work done on R.S.AGGARWAL should be enough to get through…there will be a passage writing also in this round… not more than 3 sentences… i.e,45aptitude questions and passage writing in 60 mins… this round is the major one… you are half way through if you get thru the 1st round…
2)the gd round includes an essay writing in the beginning for which a simple topic (ex. how is your college helping you in building your career)will be given n 5 mins time will be given…
the 3rd n 4th round will be easy if you are confident.
i got selected to caritor in a campus selection held at mandya(PESCE)on 27th of july 06…. there were 4 rounds namely the aptitude,gd,tech & hr interviews.

guys i wil be joining caritor on aug 28th 2006…… its a small n growing company …. so u wil be recognised very well…. they wil squeeze u and also pay u very well…. a very good company…whr u wil learn a lottt

well i got through after five rounds of tests conducted in campus interview. out 0f 45 apti ques i solved 42 correct, followed by essay writing, gd, technical and finally HR.
