I had a job with Canadian Tire and was let go after almost 8 years service. They are a very poor quality employer that does not participate in any form of 360 feedback. Management is paternalistic and myopic. The lack of a controlling shareholder has resulted in a top heavy management layer that is very protective of it’s turf. The organization is very silo oriented and the cost structure of the organization reflects it. They are technically backward in the Information Technology.
