Braskem
Braskem figures as the largest petrochemical operation in Latin America and among the three largest private companies in Brazil. With a verticalized structure integrating the first and the second petrochemical generations, Braskem reports annual earnings of R$ 14,3 billion (2004). The company employs directly 3.000 people and indirectly 5.000 people, achieving a production of 5,7 million tons of primary base, secondary and intermediate petrochemical products.
