I have been getting a lot of mails regarding the selection process at
accenture,
This is for those guys who have their interviews and tests with accenture in
the near future.

Accenture has five selection rounds, all are elimination rounds

Round I

This is an aptitude round, there are 3 sections,
Section I: English (Vocab, Comprehension etc)

Section II: Aptitude (R.S. Agarwal should be suffecient)

Section III: Reasoning, pickup any GRE book , it should be sufficient

The aptitude round is pretty much simple

Round II

THis is a GD round, this is also elimination, SO don’t forget to make a
point, they don’t normally see how relevant you speak, its just that you
should speak something and make yourself heard.

Round III

This is an HR round, this is also an elimination round, it will be a casual
talk, for god sake don’t say any thing contoversial and don’t contradict
yourself.

Round IV

This is a technical round, they will normally ask you questions pertaining
your field of interest and will focus on the projects that you have done,
you should be able to talk about your projects with confidence.

Round V

This is a combination of hr and technical , again the same stuff is
repeated,you need to just hold on , coz you are almost there.

The bottom line is that you should be a good communicator and show
confidence,

Just when i thought that i was a waste and left hopes abt getting a job ………………
I finally landed up with a job in accenture .I had written the walkin at st josephs on 31st july the info of which was posted on this wonderful wondeful group.They called me yest and asked me to colect the offer letter today.thanx 2 everyone ,all the members, they have in someway or the other kept me going and i owe it 2 them.

This is the selection procedure :

1)Test :normal agarwal apptitude,English synonyms,RC’s……….(cat pattern basically)

2) GD: ANy general topic picked (make sure u make one valid pt and make ur voice heard int eh crowd of 10 ppl)

3)Hr round: normal Hr Ques(goals long& short ,background,strenghs, weaknesses)

4)Technical rnd:Questions abt the projects u have done(B very well prepared with it)

5)Final rnd:Questions abt ur fav topic(i picked c/c++) .

If u go thru with these rnds u have made thru.

If i learn of any vacancies i will definetly keep inputting the info onto the grp..

the test was easy. there were
60 questions( 60 mins). Can anyone of you tell me what
are we expected to study for the interview.

1a> In this section 2 passages were there on basis of that u have to answer 10 questions (5 question each ) First passage was based on ball tempering by Indian team with mix of lagan story .In this answer of first question was (Ball tempering) the second passage was based on Gadar movie.(same story).

2)Specifaction :ans documentation
3) Extradite =deport
4) Cursory= scold
5) ———-= very high
fill up the blanks with proper word(5 questions)
pick the sentence which has grammatical mistake.(5 questios).

Section 3-Verbal (20 questions)
Here few questions are from logical reasoning (eg.)(6 questions)

Per team 8 members and they tell us to choose a topic of ourown interest The topics we faced are Advantages
and disadvantages of Internet Betting in cricket should legalized or not Education system in India A discussion on Iraq and America war After finishing the GD you will be given a form.

This interview was conducted for 1 year or more exp. guys in C++.

1) Firstly he asked me about the project and i was thoroughly grilled.
2)Then he asked to list the various types of storage classes and asked me to explain the scope & lifetime
of each one.. (Auto,Static,Register,Extern,and also mutable(only used for classes) )
3) Right shift/Left shift + 1’s complement concepts
then asked me to give the output of this:-

BE CONFIDENT and KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT! Smile and show them why you want to work for accenture. Most of the ppl who interview you dont know too much technical, so you should be able to explain them in a way they will understand. Have a mock interview with your friend. and make your resume in their format.

I am working in Accenture. The Accenture Interview was one of the most easiest interviews that I have ever faced. For people more than 3 years of experience,there are 3 rounds.I had gone for Testing interview.

Round -1
Technical — Basic Questions on testing , like difference between integration and system testing, defect life cycle, elements of a test plan, whether I have used automated tools,basic questios bout Winrunner and Test Director, responsibilities in my last job etc

Round 2 –
HR Interview– Your Strengths, weakness, whether you have gone abroad, why did u leave the last company, if you any gap in education what was the reason etc.

Round 3 -
Senior Management Interview – They will ask you in detail about any one project, why do u want to work in accenture, what is your exposure to quality,whether your last comapny was a CMM level company etc

If you clear all these rounds, then you will be called for a Salary Negotiation interview with the HR again.

The main thing they are looking for is ATTITUDE & CONFIDENCE, more than your technical expertise.

the details of selection procedure were as follows:

a written exam was conducted on 8 in meerut consisting of a written
test with five sections & approx. 75 minutes duration.three sections were based on
topics such as verbal,quant.& reasoning.rest two were questions were from C & C++.but
there was individual time limit for each section.

next round was a h.r. interview on 21 in delhi.the interviewer asked just
three questions as follows:
why was there a gap in your education after 10+2?
what do u know ab’t accenture?
why do u want work for accenture?

next round was a technical interview on same day & all the questions were
based on
final year project & microprocessor (mainly interrupts & interfacing).

as far as h.r. is concerned be sure to have a good & convincing answer if u
have a gap in eduacation.next important thing i feel that he was looking for was
confidence.

regarding technical e.c. students should prepare microprocessor.also questions
were asked on signals & systems & common C programs(palindrome,largest of three
numbers etc). from other candidates.just keep u’r basics clear.also all freshers should
have a good knowledge of final year project.

dear ,if I will say it was DAM-TUFF…I THINK I WILL BE INSULTING of the level of the questions….the syntax of the questions were ununderstandable…some questions were taking more then 1 page….forget abt the solving..noone could read them in 15 mins….
It was total LUCK…try to solve 4-5 …which u can and then put a intelligent guess( or same opt on all) on other……
U can use test ur C skills and explore in C…but paper level was too much from them also.only application part’s were there.

The recuitment process consists of
1. Aptitude test
it consists of three sections it is a general kind of thing they will ask problems on trains ,time and distance like that check in R.S .Aggrawal it is sufficient and analytical skills and reasoning
if u clear that round group discussion will be there for us there was no group discussion the next round was tchnical round for freshers like me they will ask only the basic questions on what ever the topic u choose
and after that H.R round will be there then they will call for background verification process.

Accentura had come to delhi. In my case there were not aptitutude test intitally.

I cleared 1st round of Interview at ACCENTURE, It took around 90 minutes to complete over Telephone.
I am waiting for the next round. Although I am not an MCA yet, I get lot of interview calls from various companies and consultants (even sometime they captures hrs of my daily busy schedule). I have 4+ yrs of IT experience. Although I spent lot of time working independently doing freelance job and at office, I will love to be there.
Once we meet together, hope we can do something for ACCENTURE.

I went to an interview with Accenture recently as per the invite from a Delhi based Consultant. The interview time was scheduled for 9:30 A.M.
I went in at 8:45 A.M (No car parking allowed for candidates!)and found some place to park my car. Checked in at 9A.M, greeted their Interview related HR people. I was asked to wait along with other SQL DBA aspiring candidates.
To our astonishment, no one called us till 12 A.M. By then, I and other SQL DBA candidates asked repeatedly when we are going to be interviewed? And Lo, No answer from HR or anyone!
Other candidates left the venue by 1P.M. I waited till 4:50 P.M. Now one of the Oracle DBA interview related person comes in and asks me “Why are you here?” I explained him everything. He apologised and said there is no one to interview SQL DBA candidates!
I went and told their HR that they can avoid this with little professionalism!
The point is, is this common practice with Accenture? Recently I asked for a telephonic interview with Accenture as one of the placement agency approached me. Their answer was ” If you are interested, just go and attend there even if it is day’s waiting”.
I just hope Accenture Bangalore will wake up and treat people with professionalism!
By the way, I don’t think they will care for my experience. If they did- wow my thanks to the HR team.

This is regarding accenture test pattern. They had changed the pattern of the test. Now they had tied up with meritrac for conducting tests…so its diffent from previous pattrns

There is no technical questions for the written test. The test consists of 3 sections
1) Aptitude(maths) mainly of ven diagrams, then ques like a man walks east for 1 km then turns left ..etc like that and ques like A man facing towards west turns 45 degre clockwise then again 180 degree clockwise then turns 270 degree anti clock wise now at wat direction does he faces to.. like that..

2) Mental ability : ques like *stand for -, /stands for + etc.. a hand ful of such ques nd ques in which three 8 digit numbers are given and to find out they are same or not .etcc..And Questions like .A company want to select people for job… the criteria for selection is given and based on that 4 questions were given we have to choose whether he must be selected or not like that..
3) Verbal reasoning: fill up the blanks with missing words, replacing the word in a sentence with appropriate words of same meaning from given list and 2 passages with questions based on this

After written tests those who are selected will have GD( before, accenture didnt had GD), Then HR and Technical
The test will be simple… just brush up and go prepare well for other Rounds also especially HR.. please get as much as company info you get and be cool.. its only way to pass that round. And for technical be prepare for a Nice set of Questions especially from basics in C, C++,Datastructures, DBMS etccc as usuall in all tech intervies; so prepare well.

Hello, I atteded for the interview, cleared the technical round, HR Round and everything, and in the final manager round, he asks me what tools I use for designing. I named a few and unit testing/ configuration management tools.. and finally after 20 days.. they coming back saying that I don’t fit for the position they are lookin for. If they are going to assess me with me knowing some tool names.. then why do I have to prepare all those technical things..and finally end up like this..:(.

Does anyone know the details of Case Study round for Pre-sales specialist at Accenture?
Would appreciate if anyone posts details of what the case study is about and how they went about cracking it.
